Nothing massively interesting to report. Healing proceeding well. There was almost 100ml of seroma fluid drained from under Sarah's arm. Apparently completely normal and has made her feel a little more comfortable as there's a significant reduction in the swelling. Although her arm is still stiff. She continues to do all her exercises which will keep her in good shape good forward.

We got the HERS2 result which was negative. So no hereceptin. The cancer is (was?) therefore tripple negative, grade 3 metaplastic squamosa, stage 2. The squamosa part means the breast tissue cells had mutated so much as to look like they are skin cells. They're not actually skin cells they just look like them.

He re-iterated what he said last week that the margins round the tissue remov
ed, both breast and under her arm had clear margins. So potentially no cancer cells but chemo and radiotherapy will reduce further or eliminate any that have escaped into the rest of her body. The chemo is happening quickly because of it being type 3 and therefore grows quickly.

Next meeting is with the Oncologist on Monday to explain everything - treatment and risks. Tuesday the fun begins.

Last part of the news is that Sarah got her wig this week. It looks remarkably similar to her natural hair. Although it's somewhat odd to wake in the night and have someone starting at you with a white face from across the room....
