Number 6 of 8 sessions completed this Wednesday. What a nice Christmas treat! We took the children along so that they could see what Sarah goes through. They both seemed to think it helped understand what she was experiencing and comforted them more than scared them.
Same side effects as previously so far. Slight rashes, aching finger nail beds, no nausea, restless at night. Nothing much more to report.
Top Chemo Fact #1 - Taxol is made from Yew trees. Aren't science & evolution wonderful? Mum and Dad's old neighbours used to have their Yew harvested for chemo drugs. It would be a nice piece of serendipity if those trees were used to make her better. Sarah's oncologist is convinced that in our life time a cure for cancer will be found in nature.

Hi all Hands up, I had to google what a yew tree is, but found that the National Park right next to my house (kind of, it's called Dendrary Botanical Garden (Dendrarium)) is full of em. All the best from the Wild East to you all. Swiss
