It's been a long day today. Sarah went off at 7am in a taxi with me looking after T&J at home. She got to the hospital to be told she was first up at 9am. Hurray!
But then booo! Her room wasn't ideal as it was at the back of the hospital near the AC units and there were workman in the room above making a racket. Their noise became a bigger issue when Sarah's slot was pushed back to 1 o'clock. She had a really bad headache. She's nil by mouth of course so the lack of caffeine was probably the culprit. Because her operation was one of the more complex one's she was scheduled later so Mokbel could get the easier ones out of the way. Entirely sensible, shame they set her expectations so wrong.
When she was told it was going to be later she insisted on being moved and is now in a quiet and sunny room at the front. Hurray!
I've sat around most of the day waiting for news. Calling occasionally to get an update but hearing nothing until just now (about 17:00). But it's not much, all I currently know is she's on her way up to her room having just left recovery. The assumption being everything was completed. The nurse who called had "no details".
When I get proper news I'll post a new update.
