We return to St. George's to hear how bad it is.
Relatively speaking we get good news. The tumour is about 2cm, there's no sign it's spread to the lymph nodes. It's not hormone receptive - which is neither good nor bad. The cancer is grade 3 which means it's fast growing. This sounds worse than it is.
Bottom line her cancer is "normal". IDC is the type about 80% of women get. Very treatable with surgery to remove the cancerous cells as well as chemo therapy to provide insurance.
Broadly speaking we appear to have caught this early.
